General Valve
General Four-Way Diverter Valve
The General Valve Four-Way Diverter does not rely on line pressure or external hydraulic pressure for positive sealing. Made of highly resilient elastomers, the seals are either bonded or mechanically retained in the seating elements, or slips. Retraction of the slips away from the valve body prior to cycling prevents friction and abrasion, which can damage seals. The seals never slide or rub against the valve body or ports.
Metal-to-metal secondary sealing prevents overcompression of the resilient primary seal. Mechanical retraction and compression ensure no-leak stream separation and longer valve life.

The General Valve Four-Way Diverter controls flow between multiple process lines using a single actuated valve body. Commonly used in pipeline meter proving, flow routing, and injection systems, the diverter provides positive, leak-free switching with minimal pressure drop and reduced maintenance complexity versus multiple two-way valves.
